5th Digital Arts-20-21 Assignments

Go to freesound.org to download sounds.

For this assignment you will make adjustments to your images.  Follow the tutorial and make adjustments to your images.

Using Lightroom match the exposure on all your images.  Use the attached video tutorial.

Don't do all of them at once.  Do only a small chunk of pictures at one time.  If you do too many at one time, the computer may crash or freeze.

Create a file on your SD Card. The name should be one word that describes your animation. For example - princess, fish, dream, kitten, etc.
Copy all of your stop animation images into this folder.  Make sure they are in order.  The best way is to put them in date order.  If you had to reshoot some images see me for help.
Once you have them in order follow the video below on how to rename them in one batch.  


DO NOT DELETE OR CHANGE THE ORIGINAL FILES.


Take a screen shot of the new renamed files and attach it to this assignment.

Students will take a series of photos for their stop animation project.

The Scene Format has six main elements that must be included:
Scene Heading
Action
Character Name
Parentheticals
Dialogue
Transitions
Additionally, there must be a 1.5 inch left margin with a 1 inch top and bottom margin and the dialogue blocks 3.7 inches from the left side of the page.


CREATE A GOOGLE DOC in this assignment.
With your partner, you will come up with a short story. Max of two characters, one scene, and any accessories needed.
You will write a script for your story, following the guidelines in the attached link. Also attached is an example of a script.
Minimum of 3 pages.

Open the attached link and take the creative types quiz.
Download your results.
Attach the pdf file.
In the comments section of this assignment tell us which type you are. I have put my type in the comments to help you put yours in the correct place.

You will be GRADED on if your pdf is attached and if you put your comment in the correct place.

You will also download the brushes and gradient files. You will have to import them into Photoshop.

Choose images similar to last assignment and turn it into a watercolor portrait.

Follow the instructions to turn an image into a watercolor painting.
Name the file correctly.
Make sure you turn in the .psd file.

This tutorial will show you color theory basics.
How to get any color just using three basic colors, red, green and blue in Photoshop.
Download the three images to your OneDrive-PothISD. Follow along the tutorial, using the attached images.

Turn in the four final photoshop files you worked on.

STOP THE TUTORIAL AT THE END OF THE GIRL WITH THE ORANGE.

Scroll down the page to the Second Assignment and follow the directions.
Make sure your page follows the same format as listed in the assingment.

Open Photoshop
Create a new file that is 8in x 10in

Use the attached link to access the Adobe Color Wheel
Choose you colors based on the Complementary Rule.
Copy the color Theme you created

Create an abstract design (using geometric shapes) for the Complementary Color Rule
Use the attached image as a template ( model your work after it- design on top, color theme below it, rule name on bottom in large font.)

Use at least 10 shapes for the design.
Include color theme below the design.
Include the name of the rule (use color wheel for reference)
Do not copy the example!!!!

Open Photoshop
Create a new file that is 8in x 10in

Use the attached link to access the Adobe Color Wheel

Copy the color Theme you created

Create an abstract design (using geometric shapes) for the Analogous Color Rule
Use the attached image as a template ( model your work after it- design on top, color theme below it, rule name on bottom in large font.)

Use at least 10 shapes for the design.

Include the name of the rule (use color wheel for reference)

Open Photoshop
Create a new file that is 8in x 10in

Create an abstract design (using geometric shapes) for the Monochromatic Color Rule

Include the name of the rule (use color wheel for reference)

Open Photoshop
Create a new file that is 8in x 10in

Create an abstract design (using geometric shapes) for the Triad Color Rule
Use the attached image as a template ( model your work after it- design on top, color theme below it, rule name on bottom in large font.)

Include the name of the rule (use color wheel for reference)

This is the format that you must follow for your page.
Answer the questions thoroughly and thoughtfully.
This is a test grade.

You will be graded on how the page looks esthetically (does it look pleasing to the eye) and the answers to the questions.

Download the Girl and the Mountain into Poth Isd OneDrive.
Open Photoshop
Open the Youtube Video tutorial and follow the directions.

Choose 3 different images and blend them together using the techniques learned on the last 3 assigments.
THey need to resemble the last 3 assignments.

Create a Google doc in this assignment. It will automatically attach to this assignment.
Answer the questions in the Google Doc.

Follow the video and blend the four images together.

Download or copy the 3 images to your OneDrive PothISD drive.

You will use all the skills you learned on assignment #3-1 to blend the three images. This means you should have about the same number of layers and kinds of layers you had on #3-1. (Some of you skipped a lot of the layers on assignment #3-1.

Remember the last layer should be a copy of all the layers together. Remember the shortcut you learned to do that.

1) Download/ copy the 4 attached images and save them to your One Drive - Poth ISD
****REMEMBER If you are able to download---right click on the image and select open in new tab. Click the download button. It will save it in downloads. Move the images to your One Drive - Poth ISD drive.
**If not then click on the image to open its view window. Then right click and select save image as. It will probably put it into your downloads folder. Make sure to move it to your One Drive -Poth ISD drive.

2) Follow the instructions from the video.
##### You will be using masking and different blending modes for this assignment. The images should be seamlessly blended together. I should not see any hard lines from individual images.

3) Save the file with the correct name as a .psd file to turn in.
4) Save a second copy of the file as a .jpg so it can be used for the web page.
5) For this assignment you should have 6 files saved to your One Drive- Poth ISD drive.

Click on the Lizzie image below. Right click on it and "Save Image As".

Create a new page under 1st Six Weeks in your Portfolio website. You will name it Photopea Tutorials.
You will put the images from assignments #1-5 and #1-6 on this page.
Explain what you learned and how you edited your images.

At this time the easiest way to get the images onto your page is to screen shot them.
At the bottom of the screen, in search, type in snip and choose the snipping tool.
Take a snip and save it as a jpg.

This will be a "how do you follow written instructions". So I will not give any instructs in the beginning. You will need to read and follow the directions.

There are some pages that came with the template we used for the portfolio. You will delete those and then add 6 more.

1) Go to your website
2) Click on the GEAR in the upper right.
3) If the MODE is not set to top, then change it to TOP and exit that window.
4) in the upper right of the screen there are 3 tabs (INSERT, PAGES, THEMES)
5) Select PAGES - You should see Home, Classes, Activities
6)Select the Activities page.
7)Move your mouse over the word Activities and you will see 3 dots to the right, click them.
8) A menu will pop up and you need to select delete. This will delete the page.
9) Click the arrow next to classes and it will expand it. You will see Math & Art.
10) Repeat step #8 for Art, Math, and finally Classes.
11) Now we will add 6 new pages.
12) Click the plus(+) sign in the bottom right. A window that says NEW PAGE will pop up.
13) Name the page 1st Six Weeks, click done
14) Will repeat step #12, five more times.
- page names will be : 2nd Six Weeks, 3rd Six Weeks, 4th Six Weeks, 5th Six Weeks, 6th Six Weeks

COPY THE URL AND TURN IT INTO THIS ASSIGNMENT
