7th Robotics 1-20-21 7th grade Assignments

Robot must navigate the maze without touching the sides using the ultrasonic sensor.
Robot must stop at the end of the maze using the touch sensor.
Extra 10pts if the robot reverses the maze and ends where it started.

Follow the instructions to build the robot

Create a Google Doc
Open the Google Doc


Using a combination of words and code, create a psuedocode.
Robot must follow a curvy black line until it reaches the end. 
If it strays from the line it must find it and continue.
If it encounters an obsticle it must go around it and get back on the line.

Attach a copy of your program

Robot has to be completely built ( sensors optional at this time).
Robot must move and turn.

Student pairs have been working on this project for 2wks.

Using Scratch you will create an animated presentation that summaries the sumo bot challenge.

Info to include:
-building rules, such as max of 3 motors, etc
-rules of the game
-strategy of how you will play the game to win.

-Your sprite must be animated - it will be the one "presenting" your information.
-Your sprite must move
-Must include sound
-Must have a minimum of 4 slides
-Must click the green flag and it run to the end.

Create a Google Doc (click add/create and choose Google Doc)
It will create and attach a google doc to this assignment.

With you partner you will write out an outline of the program you will create for your sumo bot.
Remember this will summarize your program's flow.

Challenge Objectives
-Disable opponent by either flipping or pushing out of the ring.
-Your robot remains in the ring.

Robots will be taken apart.
Both Lego kits will be reorganized, making sure that parts are organized correctly in both of their kits. They need to also make sure there are not extra parts in their kits that belong to another student's kit.

By keeping their kits organized they will increase their productivity. Students will learn to save time looking for things and will have more time to work on important tasks.

Assignment is in your CS account.
You are creating a story with your program.
Make sure each character has at least 4-5 lines each.
Include at least two of the add ons to your program.
Include sound

Must be 6-7 Letters
Each letter must be coded to do a different animation.
Background must be included.
Sound must be included.

Students will write pseudocode on how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, then convert it to code.

Turn in the URL of your website

This will be a "how do you follow written instructions". So I will not give any instructs in the beginning. You will need to read and follow the directions.

There are some pages that came with the template we used for the portfolio. You will delete those and then add 6 more.

1) Go to your website
2) Click on the GEAR in the upper right.
3) If the MODE is not set to top, then change it to TOP and exit that window.
4) in the upper right of the screen there are 3 tabs (INSERT, PAGES, THEMES)
5) Select PAGES - You should see Home, Classes, Activities
6)Select the Activities page.
7)Move your mouse over the word Activities and you will see 3 dots to the right, click them.
8) A menu will pop up and you need to select delete. This will delete the page.
9) Click the arrow next to classes and it will expand it. You will see Math & Art.
10) Repeat step #8 for Art, Math, and finally Classes.
11) Now we will add 6 new pages.
12) Click the plus(+) sign in the bottom right. A window that says NEW PAGE will pop up.
13) Name the page 1st Six Weeks, click done
14) Will repeat step #12, five more times.
- page names will be : 2nd Six Weeks, 3rd Six Weeks, 4th Six Weeks, 5th Six Weeks, 6th Six Weeks

You will start with Star Wars: Building a Galaxy with Code.

WHEN YOU COMPLETE ALL 15 STEPS, CALL ME OVER TO VERIFY.
Then you can select "mark as done" in Google Classroom.

Go to Code.org
Click sign in
Click create an account
Enter your school email address. It should be [email protected]
Use the same password you use for school.

Click Mark as Done when you have completed your account.
