Welcome to 2nd Grade's Virtual Classroom

Howdy everyone!
This week you will be receiving 5 weeks worth of work in your packet.  This is being done so that teachers can practice more social distancing than what they have been doing. (We are still at the school very frequently to get packets ready...lol). So with that being said, do one week at a time.  When you finish an assignment you can take a picture and send it to your teacher's remind account or email it to the teacher. This is the only way to turn in work now.  There will be no more packet pick-ups and drop off of completed work. Below you will find the math and science papers linked by week. (The week of April 27th-May 1st did not get scanned and linked somehow.  However, the work is in the packet. :)).
Hope everyone is staying safe and well!  Hope to see you again real soon!
~Mrs. Rodgers and Mrs. George
Helpful Websites for Graphing:
Reading -   Be sure that you are reading and getting on LEXIA for at least 15 minutes a day.
Connect Ed    This is your child's reading curriculum online.  Here your child will find lessons, tests, activities,  and videos that will be assigned each week for them to work on.
http://es.pothisd.us/   This is the link to our school resource page to Lexia, Starfall, ABC Yall, Study Island and more. Your students are familiar with this page.  We want all of our students to start using the program Core 5  which is the Lexia program that some of our students have been using all year, but now it is available for all of them!
They will login by using my email ( tcabrera@pothisd.us). Then their username and password will be the same as their AR username and password.  Please have your child get on it daily for 15 mins.
We will be able to monitor  their progress and assess their skills.
Grammar- This week we will work on where we left off before Spring break.  Watch the suffix video to help you with the suffix worksheet in your packet.
Nouns, Verbs, and Adjectives  video
What is an Adjective Video: Parts of Speech Song
Cursive Handwriting- Watch the video to help you see how to form your upper case cursive letters.
Social Studies-  Continue to work on your own in your workbook by reading, and answering questions at the end of each lesson.  (There will not be any quizzes over the lessons)
