Poth ISD Teacher Incentive Allotment Information

What is TIA?

The Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA), established by the Texas Legislature through House Bill 3, provides a pathway for highly effective teachers to earn significantly increased compensation while remaining in the classroom. The Texas Education Agency (TEA) TIA program is designed to recruit, reward, and retain outstanding educators, particularly in rural and high-needs schools.

Poth ISD’s local designation system is built on a tiered framework that recognizes teacher effectiveness based on student growth and instructional performance. Eligible teachers may earn one of four designations—Acknowledge, Recognized, Exemplary, or Master—each reflecting increasing levels of impact on student outcomes. These designations are issued to highly effective teachers who meet established performance criteria.
